How do your calls reach our Virtual Office receptionists

We issue each of our virtual office customers with a unique virtual office telephone number.  If you are in start up mode you may want to use this number as your main business number. If you would like to answer some calls yourself that's fine, please ask us and we can set it to ring your home or business telephone first before it goes to our telephone answering service. If you do not answer our receptionists will take the call for you.

If you are a business with an established telephone number that is ok, simply divert your telephone to your virtual office number whenever you want us to make use of our telephone answering service. We can help you with setting up a divert on your telephone if required.

Diverting your calls to our Virtual Office service

If you have an existing telephone number you wish to divert to our virtual office service we can help you use the following BT divert services.

Divert All Calls - dial *21*your virtual office UK number # - this will divert all your calls directly to our virtual office receptionist service without your telephone ringing. Importantly, your callers will not hear any BT messages so will believe the call has been answered by a receptionist in your office.

Divert when engaged - dial *67* your virtual office UK number # - this will divert your calls when you are on the telephone rather than the caller hearing the engaged tone or going to BT Call Minder.

Divert on not answered - dial *61* your virtual office UK number # - this will ring your telephone for 15 seconds before diverting. Unfortunately BT play an announcement to the caller before transferring the call to the virtual receptionist team which shatters the illusion that our receptionist is in your office. You will need to ask BT to remove this announcement.

Our Virtual Receptionist service is described in more detail on www.touchdownanswers.co.uk  Touchdown Answers was the the original name for Office Answers Ltd.  We changed the name in 2005 as we thought Office Answers better described the range of office services we provide.  The website has always been high in Google for the phrase virtual receptionist which is why we still use it.
