Why would you want to call yourself ?  As the system converts voicemail messages you can use it as a dictation service.   For instance, call yourself after a meeting and dictate a follow up email and actions.  You receive an email of your dictation allowing your to quickly check it and forward to the people at the meeting without needing to type it all out.

• divert your phone or mobile to our voicemail system

• caller hears your personalised greeting and leaves a message as normal

• the message is converted to text

• the text of the message is sent to you as an email

Surely it can't convert all messages?

You're right of course.  You know from listening to voicemails that some people mumble so badly it is very difficult to understand what they are saying.  In these cases the system does n't want to email you a lot of gobbledygook so if certain thresholds on conversion are not met the system will not complete the conversion.  Instead, you will receive an email with the original recording as a WAV file attachment so you can listen to the message yourself on your PC and try to work out what the caller said.

Experience shows that over 90% of voicemail messages are able to be accurately converted to text.
